  13.  POPIt is a Windows 95 and NT 4.0 winsock application which sits in the Taskbar tray
  14.  and monitors up to ten (10) POP3 compliant mailboxes. POPIt continuously displays in the
  15.  icon tray the number of received E-Mail messages. InstaScan displays the headers of any
  16.  received mail. Any recieved message may viewed and printed using the InstaView feature.
  17.  Un-wanted messages can be deleted quickly with a simple button click. Audible and/or
  18.  visual notifications can be programmed to occur if new mail is received during a mailbox
  19.  check that occurs at programmable intervals. You can also launch your favorite EMAIL
  20.  application with a single button click. InstaReply lets you reply to received mail from a
  21.  simple dialog box without having to launch your EMAIL Program. The InstaNote feature
  22.  allows you to send a text message to any EMail address on-the-fly!  The 'URL Trap" lets
  23.  you go to any URL location embedded in a message from InstaView!

  36. What You Should Know        *** PLEASE READ ***

  38. POPIt obviously connects to the Internet as part of itÆs function. You will configure it with
  39. some private information in the form of your POP mailbox(s) Name and Password. With that I
  40. have an important responsibility in assuring that this information DOES NOT LEAVE YOUR
  41. PC. To that end, I will now detail the communications that take place with this program and
  42. the Internet, and hopefully ease your mind as to the privacy of your EMAIL and mailbox
  43. information.

  45.   1.POP3: Port 110 is used to login to the specified servers, get the number of messages
  46.      waiting, and retrieve the headers. NO MAIL IS EVER DELETED WITHOUT YOUR
  47.      CONFIRMATION.

  49.   2.SMTP: Port 25 is used to send registration and usage information about your installation
  50.      of POPIt to my private EMAIL address. Your mailbox Password(s) ARE NOT
  51.      transmitted in any form (encrypted or otherwise). Only your Drive C: serial number is
  52.      encrypted and transmitted to me for use in preventing a registered copy from working on
  53.      more than one machine.

  55.      NO OTHER COMPUTER, SYSTEM, OR PASSWORD INFORMATION IS EVER SENT.

  64. This Software is owned by Productive Programming Inc. ("PPI"), a Pennsylvainia corporation.
